What is the return policy?
Returns & Refunds
Every KNOT piece is handmade with care, stitch by stitch. Because of this, each knit is naturally unique - slight variations and imperfections are part of its charm, and something I hope you’ll love.
All measurements are clearly provided for each piece.
As every personalised item is made just for you, returns and refunds aren’t available. Please check sizing carefully before ordering, as handmade knitwear may run smaller than mass-produced brands.
Handmade knits are delicate by nature, so please handle your KNOT gently and follow the care guide provided to help it last for years to come.
Special note for children’s knits
Some pieces are designed for little ones. While they’re made to be sturdy, I can’t be held responsible for damage caused by rough play, pulling, or stretching. Please supervise young wearers to keep your knits looking their best.
If something doesn’t seem quite right, please get in touch within 7 days of receiving your order and I’ll do my best to help.

When will I get my order?
Shipping Policy
Thank you for supporting handmade, personalised knits! Every piece is made with care, stitch by stitch, so processing times depend on the complexity of your knit.
Processing Time
Ready-Made KNOTS - 1-2 weeks to add personalisation
Bespoke Orders - 5-6 weeks dependant on design requested (estimated simple design)
During busy periods, processing may take a little longer - I’ll always keep you updated.
Each knit is unique, so thank you for your patience while I craft it just for you.
Shipping
Currently I only ship to the UK.
Shipping costs provided at checkout.
Risk passes to you once the parcel is handed over to the carrier.
Delivery Times (Estimated Royal Mail)
- 1st Class - 1-2 business days
- 2nd Class - 3-5 business days

Delays & Issues
Handmade knits take love and care - sometimes parcels may be delayed due to the carrier or weather.

How do I order a bespoke design?
Bespoke pieces are part of my KNOT Your Way service. You can find it via the homepage or menu and purchase a slot for a fully bespoke cardigan or jumper.
How it works:
• Purchase a slot to reserve your space
• Share your idea in the personalisation box
• For more detail, feel free to email me at contact@madebyknot.co.uk
• We’ll finalise the design together and agree a price, which will be sent via invoice
No stitching will begin until both the design and price are confirmed.
Good to know:
• This is a deposit, not the full price
• Your deposit is deducted from the final total
• Bespoke pieces are non-returnable
When submitting your idea, please include details:
• Yarn type and colour preferences
• Embroidery details (name, initials, or phrase)
• Sizing and fit (age range)
• Button styles or finishing touches
What are 'Ready-Made KNOTS'?
Ready-Made KNOTs are hand-knitted pieces made by me, released in small drops. Each drop includes a mix of sizes, colours, and styles - once they’re gone, they’re gone.
All ready-made KNOTs can be personalised at no extra charge - just add your name or initials and colour choice using the option boxes.
All measurements are clearly provided. As each piece is hand-knitted, they may come up slightly smaller, so please double check sizing before purchasing.
Care guidance, including fibre content and yarn details, is provided with every KNOT.
