Every piece is carefully selected or handmade with care. Whether it’s a hand-knitted piece or a pre-loved vintage find, each item is unique and may have its own individual character.
My hand-knitted pieces are made individually, stitch by stitch. Because of this, slight variations in texture, shape or finish are natural and part of what makes each piece unique.
All measurements and care information are provided on each product listing. Please check these carefully before ordering, as handmade knitwear can fit differently from mass-produced clothing.
Handmade knits are delicate by nature, so please handle your piece gently and follow the care instructions provided to help it last for years to come.
Personalised or custom-made hand-knitted pieces are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or returned, as they are made specifically for you. This does not affect your statutory rights if a personalised item is faulty or not as described.
My pre-loved and vintage pieces have been previously loved and may show signs of age or wear. Any notable marks, imperfections or signs of wear will be clearly described and photographed in the product listing.
Please take the time to read the description, check the measurements and look closely at the photographs before ordering.
For most items purchased online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without needing to give a reason. If you decide to cancel, you then have a further 14 days to return the item.
Return postage is the responsibility of the customer. Items should be returned in their original condition and with reasonable care taken when trying them on or inspecting them.
Once I receive the returned item, I’ll process your refund within the required timeframe. Standard delivery costs will also be refunded where applicable.
Pre-loved and vintage pieces are sold with their previously loved character in mind. Any significant signs of wear, marks or imperfections will be clearly shown and described before purchase.
If you change your mind about a pre-loved or vintage item purchased online, the standard 14-day cancellation right still applies. This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty or not as described.
If your item arrives faulty, damaged or is not as described, please contact me as soon as possible at contact@madebyknot.co.uk.
I’ll work with you to resolve the issue in line with your consumer rights.
Some pieces are designed for little ones. While they’re made to be sturdy, I can’t be held responsible for damage caused by rough play, pulling or stretching.
Please supervise young wearers and follow the care instructions provided to help keep your knitwear looking its best.
